A chemical peel is a professional resurfacing treatment that encourages controlled exfoliation and skin renewal. At Beyond Skin UK the peels are the algae peel (£149), the TCA peel (£159) and the under-eye peel (£109), each selected and planned around your skin after assessment.
Dull skin, uneven texture, congestion, superficial pigmentation, post-acne marks and signs of sun damage. Selected peel protocols may help improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
It varies substantially with the depth of the peel and your skin’s response. Skin can look flushed or feel warm or tight at first, and some peels cause dryness, sensitivity or visible peeling. Avoid picking at peeling skin, and use daily broad-spectrum SPF.
Melanin-rich skin is not a contraindication. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a recognised risk, so peel selection, depth, preparation and staging are planned around your skin tone to reduce it — though the risk cannot be eliminated.
Active infection or dermatitis in the area, recent sun exposure or sunburn, a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring, a compromised skin barrier and current retinoid or acid use all need assessment first. They do not automatically exclude you.
Peels start from £109: the under-eye peel is £109, the algae peel £149 and the TCA peel £159. Every treatment begins with a consultation, which is £80.
